Belief in Dialogue

This publication has been produced by the Scottish Government and provides guidance on building good relations among and between religious and belief communities and individuals. The guide provides practical examples for developing interaction and dialogue and it is hoped that it will be useful to all kinds of faith and belief groups, inter faith groups, local authorities, statutory and voluntary bodies - in fact anyone interested in dismantling barriers that keep people from understanding and respecting one another.

Reflections of Life


Reflections of Life is an NHS resource which offers words of comfort and encouragement during times of stress and anxiety. It contains quotes from many faiths on topics such as suffering, loss, anxiety, peace, patience and hope.

A Celebration of New Life


This beautiful eight page booklet provides readings from seven faith traditions in Scotland on the theme of birth and new life. These were first presented at an inter faith service at the International Congress of Midwives in Glasgow in June 2008 and are a great gift and inspiration for new and expecting mothers.

This booklet was produced by our Global Exchange volunteers from the UK and Indonesia and our youth committee members. It gives a comprehensive summary of ways in which faith communities can be more environmentally friendly.

A Multi-Faith Resource for Healthcare Staff


This resource is a comprehensive guide to the religious or spiritual care needs of people from 12 different world religions. It includes sections on basic beliefs, attitudes to healthcare staff and illness, religious practices, diet, fasting, washing, dress, birth and death customs, family planning, blood transfusions, transplants and organ donation.
